29TH ANNUAL REEDVILLE FISHING
TOURNAMENT
RULES
1.
The
deadline for entering the

Weather considerations will be the
Captain’s choice. Fishermen will
fish at their own discretion and accept full responsibility for their respective
boat and crew.
3.
The
Tournament committee will furnish each boat with a large numbered card and an
identifying pennant. The pennant
must be displayed on the boat in such
a manner as to
be visible to other boats and left in place during fishing hours. The numbered card must be displayed to
tournament officials when fish are brought in to be
weighed.
4.
Official tournament starting time will be
6:30AM on fishing day. No
lines in the water prior to 6:30AM.
5.
Fish
must be delivered by the contestant’s boat to the official Weighmaster or his representative by 4:00PM Saturday, May
12, 2012.
6.
Only
Striped Bass may be entered in the competition.
7.
All
fish weighed in by the Weighmaster remain the property
of the entrant.
8.
All
fish must be caught on hook and line.
9.
In
the event of identical weights, the first catch weighed in will be declared the
winner. In the remote event that
two or more entries of identical weights are
checked in at
the same time, a tie will be declared, and the prize money will be divided
accordingly.
10. Fish shall not be mutilated in any way
other than hook marks. It is the
contestant’s responsibility to ice and maintain their catch in good
condition.
Failure to do so can result in
disqualification.
11. Two or more boats congregating close
enough to pass fish will be disqualified from the
tournament.
12. All boats must adhere to U.S. Coast Guard
regulations as per their size. The
Tournament Committee will monitor VHF channel 66 throughout the
competition.
13. The Tournament Committee reserves the
right to inspect any and all boats entered in the competition. Discovery of fish from a prior day or
any
fish landed
prior to 6:30 AM the day of the tournament will result in immediate
disqualification.
14. A marine biologist will be on hand, if
possible, for the purpose of advising the Weighmaster.
15. The official Weighmaster will be located at Buzzard’s Point Marina. He will accept fish for weigh-in by
eligible boats to that dock, or are delivered to the
Weighmaster by
one of his representatives from other designated check-in
stations.
16. A boat may only weigh-in two striped
bass, plus one additional for a youth prize.
17. All protests concerning the determination
of the tournament winners shall be made to the Tournament Committee and shall be
accompanied
by a $100.00
deposit and a brief written description of the violation(s). All protests shall be made no later than
30 minutes after the last fish weighed
in each day. If
the Tournament Committee upholds the protest, the $100.00 deposit will be
refunded. If the protest is denied,
the $100.00 becomes the
property of the
Tournament.
18. Each fish entered in the tournament will
be eligible for only one primary prize.
19. All entry fees are considered a
charitable donation and are not refundable.

the water while fishing is TWELVE (12).
More than 12 lines being fished at one time will disqualify the
entrant.
22. The registered boat captain is
responsible for attaching a completed fish tag through the lip of each fish
entered. It must include the
captain’s name, boat number,
and, if
applicable, the name of the designated youth. Youth is defined as being age 16 or
under.

24. The aggregate weight of two fish will
determine the winners of the main tournament, except for the youth category and
largest fish caught category.
25. RULES, INFRACTIONS, AND
DISQUALIFICATIONS. THE TOURNAMENT
COMMITTEE SHALL BE THE SOLE JUDGE OF ANY RULE VIOLATION
AND THEIR DECISION SHALL BE
FINAL. THE VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE
ABOVE RULES SHALL CONSTITUTE GROUNDS FOR DISQUALIFICATION.
